Shit. I hadn’t realized the hardest part of becoming a writer wasn’t the actual ‘writing’ bit but the ‘overcoming self-mortification’ bit. I won’t regale you of my struggle because it’s pretty much the same for all writers. Doubt. Despair. Every day a giant ego thrashing. Yada. Yada. Here’s my stuff. Some of it’s pretty good. I have an M.A. in Novel Writing from Middlesex University and I’ve written five novels, none of which my ego has let me pursue an agent or publisher for. My latest novel, a political satire, is not too bad. (How’s that for selling myself?) Definitely worth a try so we’ll see how things go once my edit is complete. For now, stay tuned.
